Butterscotch Chocolate Pretzel Cookies

In our house we like the classic cookie recipes, but every now and again you have to mix it up and these cookies were the ticket! Little salty and a little sweet! See the full recipe here.

Ingredients

  • Butter

  • Flour

  • Baking Soda

  • Sea Salt

  • Brown Sugar

  • Eggs

  • Vanilla

  • Butterscotch Chips

  • Chocolate Chips

  • Pretzels

Instructions

  • In a small pan, start melting two sticks of butter (I used a stick of salted and a stick of unsalted). Bring the butter to a boil then stir frequently until it starts to foam, then turn down the heat. Once it’s an amber color, remove from the heat completely and let the butter cool for 20 minutes.

  • While the butter is cooling, heat your oven to 350 degrees and lay out two cookie sheets and cover with parchment paper.

  • Now, start making the cookies. In your stand mixer, pour in 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt and stir well.

  • Once your butter has cooled, mix in 1 and 1/2 cups brown sugar, 2 eggs, and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Stir well then pour in your dry mixture. Mix on medium-high until the dough becomes a good consistency.

  • Now, fold in 3/4 cup butterscotch chips, 3/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup coarsely chopped pretzels until mixed in.

  • Now, get out your medium cookie scoop and place the cookies on your cookie sheets. This will make around 23 cookies.

  • Place in the oven and cook for about 12 minutes. Enjoy!
