Shrimp Boil

Delicious and easy - who doesn’t love a shrimp boil?


Ingredients

  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob cut into halves

  • Smoked sausage cut into pieces (full package)

  • 2 pounds unpeeled, deveined shrimp

  • Large white onion, cut in pieces

  • 3-4 red potatoes cut in pieces

  • 7 cups water

  • 12 ounces beer

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1/2 cup old bay seasoning

Instructions

  • In a large pot, boil the water, beer, salt and old bay.

  • Stir in the potatoes and onion - cook for about 6-8 minutes.

  • Then add the sausage, cook for 3-5 minutes.

  • Add corn and cook for another 6-8 minutes.

  • Add shrimp, stir well and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

  • Remove from heat, drain and serve.

  • You can also sprinkle some additional old bay seasoning on top of the mix and serve with clarified butter (Ghee) on the side.
